ANA KANPA is not afraid to push the boundaries of rock music, adding diverse elements in a unique fusion of sound.

The members of ANA KANPA each make a distinct contribution with their extensive experience in music and entertainment. Valkyrie is the band’s lead vocalist. With a strong background in performance art including film, television, and theatre, she brings a dramatic presence into the band. Mike Matthews plays lead guitar and sings. He has played in many South Florida Rock bands and has produced and/or made significant contributions to several independent releases. Robert Barcelo is the band’s drummer. He is a life-long, classically trained percussionist and has also played in many local South Florida bands, as well as having made significant contributions to his past band’s independent releases. Lancelot is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and lover of Jazz and World Music. He has played music professionally for over five years, and his instruments include bass, guitar, flute, mandolin and keyboard.

ANA KANPA has created a sound that is unique and powerful. The band is currently concentrating on building its fan base throughout the South Florida area and is working on its soon-to-be-available first independent release.
